A lipoma is a common soft tissue growth or lump composed of fat cells that is not malignant. It is usually found just beneath the skin and has a rubbery feel to it. It slides easily when handled. Lipomas can develop anywhere on the body and are usually painless. Even though they are mostly harmless and don’t need to be treated, some people choose to have them removed for comfort or aesthetic purposes. Doughy, Rubber-like Texture: Lipomas usually feel doughy or rubbery to the touch.
Moveable: When touched, they can readily move beneath the skin.
Painless: Lipomas typically don’t hurt or feel sensitive to the touch.

Cosmetic Concern: Because of their size and appearance, lipomas are noticeable, which could raise cosmetic issues.

Genetics: If there is a family history of lipomas, some people may be genetically predisposed to developing these growths.
Age: Although lipomas can arise at any age, they are more common in people between the ages of 40 and 60.
Gender: Men seem to have them a little more frequently than women do.
Injury or Trauma: A lipoma may occasionally grow as a result of a physical injury or trauma to a particular region.
Hormonal Changes: There is some evidence to suggest that hormonal variables may contribute to the development of lipomas.
Underlying Medical Conditions: Although they are not common, lipomas can be linked to a number of illnesses, including adiposis dolorosa and Gardner’s syndrome.
Laser Ablation: In this technique, the lipoma tissue is heated and broken down by a laser. After that, the fat is either eliminated by a little incision or absorbed by the body.
Laser Lipolysis: By using laser energy, the fat inside the lipoma can be broken down and made easier to aspirate or remove.
